TASTING NOTES
In view presents a nice cherry color with garnet edge.
The vintage 2012 was characterized by a healthy and balanced ripening grape, less than ela previous vintage.
This is reflected in the nose as sharp aromas of red fruits, balsamic notes and spices like black pepper. Smoky tones and toasted oak are well integrated. Nex present the characteristics of our wines, made with low levels of organic sulfur notes.
In the mouth it is balanced and friendly, with a silky entry, along with ripe and tasty tannins, enveloping the palate with a pleasant feeling. Its acidity, vibrant, brings elegance, elongating and giving the characteristic freshness of our wines from vineyards upland.

Tempranillo 90%, Garnacha 5%  Mazuelo 5%.

 

VINES AND HARVEST

Our vineyards are located in the village of Entrena at an altitude between 550 to 610 metres. (1800-2000 feet) 

Oriented mainly to the North East

Tertiary Soils with bedrock of red marlstone and red clay with a thin soil of the quaternary period of glacis stones, lutites, marls, sandstones, gravels…

Grapes were hand-harvested from October 6rd to 13th, in 200 kg containers.

Grapes were coming from 10 Has spread in 15 different plots. 

We use traditional viticulture. 

Bush pruning in 80% of the vines and 20% in double cordon.

 

WINEMAKING

Cold pre-maceration at 10°C for 4 days. Wine was fermenting for 8 days at 26°C, being punched and pumped over every day. Ten days of maceration before press.

This wine was aged in French (85%) and American oak barrels for 13 months, and fined in the bottle for another year before to be released to the market.

Alcohol Content: 14,0º 

 

TASTING NOTES 

A la vista presenta un bonito color cereza picota con borde granate.

La añada 2012 se caracterizó por una uva sana y de madurez equilibrada, menor que ela añada anterior.   

Esto se refleja en la nariz, en forma de aromas nítidos de frutos rojos, notas balsámicas y especiadas como la pimienta negra. Los tonos ahumados y los tostados de la barrica aparecen bien integrados. Siguien presentes las notas orgánicas propias de nuestros vinos, elaborados con bajos niveles de sulfuroso.

En boca se presenta equilibrado y amable, con una entrada sedosa que, junto con los taninos maduros y sabrosos, nos envuelve el paladar con una agradable sensación. Su acidez, vibrante, le aporta elegancia, alargándolo y dándole la frescura caraterística de nuestros vinos de viñedos de zonas altas.

 

PRODUCTION AND PACKAGING

50.000 Bordeaux bottles of 0,75cl. Cases of 6 or 12 bottles.
